With a Santoku-style universal knife, you chop root vegetables, fish and meat. The tomato knife is a handy general-purpose knife, the serrated blade of which works excellently, for example, when cutting tomatoes or soft bread. A vegetable knife is a handy little knife for peeling and chopping.
